Someone sent me this video of Madonna playing one of her shitty songs, but as someone who constantly re-invents herself she’s doing it with a guitar. I am not sure what happens about 1 minute 50 into the video but it seems like she either forgot the words or the back-up vocal track was off. I’d like to say that Madonna can’t multi-task and struggles with singing while playing, but I like to think that it’s actually a combination of not being able to sing and not being able to play the guitar and both are happening at the same time. It’s like the time I decided to tour old folks homes in North America as a dancing juggling mexican, I couldn’t do either but figured they’d be an easy crowd to please and the truth is that I was just doin’ it for the pussy. Yes….I have no idea what I am talking about.

WOW!!! That was the most pathetic thing i´ve ever seen. And she keeps re-inventing herself??? One would think that she would be able to get her back up track right on time, but no, instead she looks stupid trying to keep singing, when she clearly isn´t singing at all. You can hear quite distinctitvely her voice and the one on tape.

Okay, here’s what happened. At the beginning it’s just Madonna and her guitar. Then they bring in the band AND a track of Madonna singing. Now she’s singing along with herself (the track sounds good, she sounds bad live). Then the track stops (intentionally) for a couple of lines, and she completely loses the beat. She has to wait until the track comes back in, then when she can just “sing along with herself” again, she’s fine.

So yeah…not so much better than Britney and the others.

I think singers like Celine Dion and Aretha Franklin really prove that Madonna is nothing but an ultra-hyped Britney Spears for yesteryear.

If you invent something, you will make the most and best of it. Madonna invented the bad-female-lead-with-pop-sound genre, so the rest is history.

Of COURSE she sucks at singing, but her songs are catchy and her shows, from what I’ve seen on YouTube, really are amazing. She’s like Microsoft Windows XP: everybody hates it, but buys it and doesn’t want to upgrade.

Madonna sounds horrid. Just awful. I’ve always thought she sucked and can’t figure out what anyone sees in her. This is just an embarrassment.

Perhaps you fools should watch the whole show. She had one slip up on hung up, but throughout the rest of the show she sounded just fine, and she may not be Whitney or Aretha which I am sure she has no desire to be but she can sing. Stop the hate, and start the love. Its better for the mind and the world, people.

I bet all of you haters have never heard more than that clip and think you’re the authorities on Madonna’s supposed lack of singing talent. I’ve been to all but one of her concerts and she almost never has lip synched…so get your facts straight before you start spewing your hatred. How many other women have achieved her level of success and for 20 years no less?? You’re just a bunch of jealous morons.

Consider that they have microphones today that correct both pitch and tone during performance. Very commonly used. Few of these modern performers are actually talented. Remember that when you choose to subsidize their lifestyles.

I wish Madonna would put the guitar down, other than that her voice is not horrible. She has sung live at all of her concerts that I have been to starting with the Virgin Tour. She does sing over a vocal track, which is blatantly obvious on some live bootlegs I own. I love the fact that her career still pisses people off, she is always controversial even when she isn’t trying to be…like screwing up her lyrics..ha!
