The plain truth. In Italy Canalis is well-known mostly because of her endless string of flings with soccer players or anyone who she thought could be useful to her “career”. She’s young, she’s beautiful, she has no education (no degree) and you just have to hear her talk to find it out. She has no formal professional preparation. She just hangs around doing nothing worth mentioning (at least professionally speaking).

I’m Italian too, but I completely disagree in what you say…it’s true that’s she’s famous here in Italy, but don’t think she’s appreciated for her acting or entertaining abilities. she’s famous just because she has the ‘ability’ to appear naked on calendars and things like that. Moreover, it’s not true that she doesn’t need to go out with Clooney to become famous! She had once said that it was one of her wishes to play a role in Hollywood movies, so it’s not hard to understand she’s taking advantage of this relationship…just a way to succefully enter the American movie market (hope they won’t let her do that since her acting is pathetic!!)
