MMA - How do you like it?
What do you prefer to see when you watch an MMA fight?

1. All ground fighting. I like the chess matches. Leave the brawling for the barroom.
2. All stand-up. Ground is boring for the most part.
3. Mostly ground but with a little stand-up.
4. Mostly stand-up with a little ground.
5. I like a fight to have a good mixture.
6. As long as the fight is interesting, i don't care.
7. It depends on who's doing the fighting. I.E. some stand-up/ground guys are better to watch than others.
8. I don't like MMA .
9. I have no clue what i'm voting on (this option specifically for Nachos).:D
also - tell us who your favorite fighter is!

I like a nice mix. I'm a bigger fan of a KO or sub than a ref stoppage though.
After Saturday night, Henderson gets my vote for favorite, though he has a ton of boring fights to his credit. For consistent entertainment, I gotta go with Clay Guida.

Homeboy got his ass handed to him in the UFC. But kinda came back and stands at 2-2. He just signed another 3 fight deal, so I'm hoping he's worth the hype. He reminds me of ivan drago from rocky 3

When they're on the ground, it's just boring to me. I like to see them pummel the shit out of eachother standing up...or one guy on the ground, and the other guy standing over him, pummeling the shit out of his face.

He did suck in his first trip to the UFC, second one he won via eye-poke, though he was winning anyways. I want them to throw him in with Lesnar. He'll either get beaten to death or land a headkick and Lesnar will know the sweet inky hell of being knocked out.
All that said, I also miss Pride. I want a UFC Openweight GP so bad it hurts.

Yeah, he was pretty impressive, till he took off a year to be in the Tekken movie coming out. He is fighting again in September in my home state of Oklahoma at Fight Night 19. Up against Gray Maynard. Sounds like a good fight.

I like a good mixture but always prefer the fight to end before reaching the judges...tko or sub works for me...

He just had to get used to the cage as apposed to the ring he used to fight in in Pride. He'll come back. ;)

i know this is a joke, but does it piss you off when people watch mma and as soon as it goes to the ground people start saying it looks like they're fucking? I had some dude who would make a comment about gay sex constantly. I wanted to kill a motherfucker.

I mostly like to see people get KTFO! I'm not a big fan of submission fighting but I like ground and pound. The Iceman was my favorite fighter but now he is past his prime. I like Fedor Emelianenko as well and I'm looking forward to seeing him fight Barnett at the end of the month.

Personally, I love to see two guys who know their shit hit the ground. But most fights aren't as competitive that way, so I'd rather see a good mix. I would rather see a great submission than a knockout (which is not to say I don't jump out of my seat for a good knockout). If guys are going to be on the ground, I want to see them go for something, not just sit on top and try to score points. Ground & Pound is cool, but sadly lots of guys rely on Fall & Stall.
I fucking hate Lesnar and his dick tattoo, and I can't wait until somebody shuts him up.

I'm a BJ Penn fan. Guy has some mad skills and was, maybe still is, boinking a Sports Illustrated model.

For a while I was a fan of Matt Hughes, fucker could fight and he was an asshole because he knew he could fight. The Hughes-Serra fight was hilarious to me. I like to see a good stand-up game, but don't mind the ground if it's not just lay-and-pray. I like to see a dude get taken down and either get mangled into a pretzel and watch his joints pop out and shit (reminds me of dislocating my hip) or to see someone get taken down and just thrashed and cut all to shit. I'd rather see either of those two than to watch someone get in a lucky punch and the guy goes down and starts flopping like a dead fish or my wife during our monthly "interludes."
