I got this son of a bitch on my left butt cheek one drunken night outside of Cleveland. It is my one and only tattoo.

I got it done because some foul, whale of a women peed on and sullied my couch one night after a party. She was a friend of a friend and passed out on my couch. When you are throwing a party you expect these layabouts but when I woke up the next day the cushions were suspiciously missing. I went to the deck and found my little brother spritzing them down with Fabreeze. "Someone must have spilled a beer on it..." -Bullshit. That mountain of a woman had soaked it through to the springs. Seeing as how a man has a special relationship with his couch I felt it fitting to have it memorialize on the very spot that spent so many special moments with it. I don't regret it and while my girlfriend thinks it is atrocious it still makes me laugh every time I see it. The only downside is that the story is told all the time and I inevitably have to show it to punctuate the tale. One of these days I'm going to end up with an indecent exposure rap.

My band (I'll post pics when I get a chance I'm out of town on biz) looked awesome when I drew it. The tattoo dude loved it, but I just don't think he did a very good job. Of course it probably didn't help that I stopped him every 30 minutes to go smoke. I'm such a douche.

Nah see, while I am ok with my weight, I am NOT ok with others seeing it. And any other types of pics would show it more. That was the stipulation: no way of seeing how fat I look. Damn steroids. Anyway, yes he drugged me first, but I was not non-compliant. Figured I might as well give in to the inevitable. Not likely to be in a giving mood anytime soon!

In regards to the ink, I want more. I'd like to finish the side opposite the angel. Planned a little devil girl sitting on flames. I also have a couple of memorial tats for 2 of my 4 parents. I adopted my best friend's parents as my own and losing her mom was as hard if not harder than losing my dad. I can't decide though on what I want exactly. And then too, how do I handle the two who are still living? Wait til it can be a memorial tat or just do something to represent them. And I also want a small monkey family. And an odd one I want is basically a tat on my wrist that looks like a med alert bracelet. I really should wear one, but I HATE jewelry. (Yeah I am weird I know) So I figure if I get a med alert tat...at least if anything happens they know to check pockets/purse/wallet etc. for a list of meds. And I have at least 4 or 5 other ideas kicking around in my head. Everyone told me it would probably hurt before I had my first one done. It wasn't painful. Some spots were tender. The flower I had done sitting in just a bra while the dude did it. Another artist and a guy getting a full back piece were in the same room. I was laughing and joking with the artists while the guy said he was almost in tears. He wondered how it did not bother me. Then again, I have had needles shoved into certain nerves of my spine, had the needles heated to 90 deg. C and not flinched. So, a tattoo is much easier than that.

have you had a problem with your lip tattoo from falling out? i had mine done about a year ago and it fell out within a month...you cant even see it anymore

i did, most of it came out just after 3-4 weeks had to get it re done but it has looked the same since i had it redone the last time.

i had lots of seat time with my back too, my skin kept pushing the black back out, had to get the filling in redone 4 times

sometimes the ink in a new tattoo doesnt stay while its healing...its usually referred to as fall out

and the lip is a hard place for a tattoo to heal, moist always and never can scar over to seal the ink in. plus in your sleep or without paying attn to it you sometimes run your tongue along where the tattoo is making it worse for healing

ohhh i only knew one person who had a a tattoo inside his lip, and i never heard of ink falling out, i think the white ink on my foot either fell out or faded, the ink on the back of my ankle is almost all gone

white is a very hard color to get to show up on a white person, with the pink in our skin it just turns out like a lighter pink shade at best.

the ink on you ankle could be victim of the same kinda of thing as when you get a hand/finger/foot tattoo, the skin replaces itself so often cuz it gets rubbed and worn by everyday use and needs to get touched up. sometimes it lasts a yr sometimes more, or less than that

yeah the white showed up at first but now its gone, the ink faded from regeneration of skin in two places and theres no way i would sit through that again to get it fixed, i almost cried while getting that one done

So this is an interesting question. My whole sleeve was about 3-4k and you can see it in august edition of international tattoo that is if it makes it in. They shot 4 different sleeves and mine was one of them. I signed a waiver so that gives me hope. I will post pictures of the whole sleeve soon it came out great. I have about 30 hours of work all free hand.

not a chance in hell! i may shade the tips in, but honestly, the effort of healing this up without losing ink makes shading my whole head an impossibility. it seems that the hair on your head pushes whole clumps of ink out when it grows through.

this is my first (and probably only) tattoo, located on my right ribcage. it's taken from the bible - john 8:7. after my mother left my father after years of cheating on him, i found the passage to be inspiring enough to permanently brand it on my body for life. the phrase is also a lyric in my favorite song by my favorite band. it seemed to be a sort of redundant theme in my life. ;)

What you see in the pics took about 3.5 hours. It should be about 8-9 more hours to finish that one piece. At least a year to finish my whole.

It started off as a black shield with the Om symbol in negative (no ink) but I've added color, Ganesh, and a Kwan Yin based off a statue my Grandparents owned that I now have.

It sounds a bit of a mess but it will be over a lot of space with fill. I've got lots of time as I won't even see my tattoo artist for six months. :( It will probably be totally different by then.

It's been a while, so I figured I've bring back this thread with my 2 new pieces. Both done by my older cousin. He did some shitty stuff about 5 years ago, but since becoming an unemployed bum like myself, he's taking seriously and trying to apprentice somewhere. The first one was his 5th since starting up again and doing it for about three weeks. The second one was done the week after. Both are from Sailor Jerry flash books, but I have him drawing up some custom stuff to do next week.

This one didnt have much meaning, but as I look at it it reminds me of my great uncle, who was a sailor in Korea and then became a priest and nuclear physicist. yea, its a stretch, but whatever. Maybe touch it up with a little pope hat instead of a sailor hat.
