I really tried to be a good sport about this, ask Lucas, the first thread about this, I PM'd him and told him to delete the thread, 'cause I didn't want to piss off a big time contributor over some jokes, even though it was bullshit, because like I said in the first thread, it's fucking called offensive, right in the fucking title, if you want to be a pussy about it, don't fucking click it. There are so many features in vB to not have to see stuff. A joke is a joke. Some of them are offensive, some of them aren't funny, quit being a bitch. Did you know that lots of people find porn offensive, and degrading to women, there's porn all over this place. It's an open forum, and you are acting like a fucking Nazi. We are exercising the same right. As a parent, I am subjected to "jokes" about killing and raping children, not to mention an entire thread about "why anyone would even bother with having kids" (I hope you all are thankful that your parents didn't feel the same way). I read TylerB's post that he asked for the offending thread to be deleted. From what I can glean it looks like a major contributer was allowed to be "run off" by a new guy. DS is like my girl, I like her most of the time but when she is getting on my dam nerves, I leave her the fuck alone. Yes, you are way off base. The problem is you can't make everyone happy and you can't just censor what one person doesn't like. If Tyler is censored for having an offensive joke thread the next thing you know someone is going to be bitching that they don't like porn or pirated music so that will have to come down too. This whole thing isn't about racist jokes. They just happen to be what Pen didn't want here and was willing to leave over. If he wants to leave because one thread bothers him so much that is his choice, but anyone can post just about anything they want and as a reader you get to choose what content you read. That's what makes this a great forum. As long as I'm not disrespectful to everyone it is basically anything goes, and if issues arise they are addressed by every member who wants to chime in instead of some admin sitting there deciding what is right and wrong. Also, no one ran off a major contributor. He chose to leave.....

I don't see a problem with having the thread, in fact, I like having it. Don't get me wrong, I don't read it (the 2nd joke in the 1st post taught me not to click on it any more), but I'd much rather have all the bad jokes going in there where I can easily not view them, then suddenly pop up in a thread I am actually involved in.

It all comes down to one simple thing... If you don't like it, don't click on it.

That being said, I think Tyler's flaming of pendragon for posting this is a bit uncalled for. But, I'm still a new piece of shit, so I understand that my opinion doesn't matter.
