There is a mickey rourke rule of film, and it goes like this:
“Almost no film is good enough to survive Mickey Rourke being in it. Most will suck like a hoover, and that’s just the way it is”
Body Heat didn’t suck, but that’s because he had a minor part in it (as the fire bug). Most everything else of his is hard to watch. It’s not like he sucks more than any other actor, it’s just that somehow he is attracted to movies that suck and thus his career is defined as a series of lurches between lousy movies.
