Here in Italy showgirl Elisabetta Canalis is a very well known and much loved by the public, especially the male. And ‘rich and successful and there was no reason to create this story for publicity purposes. Elizabetta does not need this, is already famous. George Clooney but was unable to resist the charm of beautiful Italian girls and there’s nothing wrong with that. The plain truth. In Italy Canalis is well-known mostly because of her endless string of flings with soccer players or anyone who she thought could be useful to her “career”. She’s young, she’s beautiful, she has no education (no degree) and you just have to hear her talk to find it out. She has no formal professional preparation. She just hangs around doing nothing worth mentioning (at least professionally speaking).
Instead of having a higher opinion of her because of her relationship with Clooney, most have ended up having a bad opinion of Clooney because he hangs around with a woman like this.

Ovverosia and Enrica, be realistic! I’m Italian too, but I completely disagree in what you say…it’s true that’s she’s famous here in Italy, but don’t think she’s appreciated for her acting or entertaining abilities. she’s famous just because she has the ‘ability’ to appear naked on calendars and things like that. Moreover, it’s not true that she doesn’t need to go out with Clooney to become famous! She had once said that it was one of her wishes to play a role in Hollywood movies, so it’s not hard to understand she’s taking advantage of this relationship…just a way to succefully enter the American movie market (hope they won’t let her do that since her acting is pathetic!!)
